The technology pioneer’s high-quality platform continues to set the benchmark for the digital production of labels and packaging as sales continue to accelerate. Just two years after announcing the 500th installation, the digital toner-based presses continue to break ground, helping Konica Minolta increase global market share in labels. This demonstrates the company’s successful track record of working closely with customers to drive digital transformation and bring more print possibilities to life.

The AccurioLabel presses offer affordable entry to high-quality digital printing for print providers, brand owners, and packaging companies. Originally targeted at small to mid-size label converters, they are now also widely accepted by various larger label convertors. The highly flexible systems help manage the demand for an increasing number of small to medium print jobs with short processing times. A touch panel monitor enables intuitive operation, eliminating the need for extensive user training. Tasks that were time-consuming on analogue machines can be performed quickly and accurately with the AccurioLabel presses.

Chris O’Hara, National Production Print manager – production and industrial print, Konica Minolta New Zealand, said, “Konica Minolta developed the AccurioLabel presses to address evolving customer requirements and applications, providing a path for our customers to transform their label production. The third evolution, the AccurioLabel 230, is the first model to be made available in New Zealand and we are excited to bring this proven solution to this market.

“The AccurioLabel 230 draws on the global success of previous models delivering major benefits in label printing and design. The 1000th installation is a significant milestone, recognising the success Konica Minolta has experienced since entering the label market. We are excited to be able to accelerate the label business as we constantly rethink what is possible with our product offering, igniting new possibilities to deliver transformation to our customers. The AccurioLabel 230 is available to view by appointment in our Auckland production print showroom.”

Etiq’Lyon, the generalist producer of adhesive roll labels employing seven staff at Caluire, near Lyon, France, is the 1000th customer to invest in the AccurioLabel 230 press.

Bertrand Genin, owner, Etiq’Lyon, said, “As we continue to invest in digital technology, which we see as the future, we are extremely proud to have become the 1000th customer of the AccurioLabel toner press. This investment will enable us to offer many other new business solutions for our customers spread across all industrial trades, thanks to the support we receive, very good colour stability of the machine, and fast production speeds.

“The technology, extremely competitive total cost of ownership, and professional support and responsiveness from Konica Minolta’s expert staff were major factors behind our decision. Konica Minolta has been extremely good at listening to us and working together in partnership to deliver on our exact requirements.”
